We decided take a look at Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls Youtube channel and landed on this episode about high school student Kiera Wilmot. You might recognize her from the news: “she was in the news because of a wayward school experiment. Her education and future were on the line as a consequence. Thanks to the support of thousands, her story had a happy ending! One of her supporters, Homer Hickam, invited Kiera and her sister to space camp and it is LEGIT! You’ve got to see this video she sent us. It is Kiera in her element!”

In this video Kiera explains what happened and how, out of this dark moment, some good things came from perfect strangers. Plus, it involves space camp!
