Call For Silent Auction Items

→ Silent Auction Basket Submission Form 2017

Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio hosts  a Silent Auction every year during Annual Meeting and Adult Recognitions. Proceeds provide financial assistance to girls who might not otherwise be able to go to camp. Last year no girl was turned down for camp because of financial need. With our recent acquisition of Camp Skyland Ranch and with your help, we have the chance to offer even more girls life-changing outdoor experiences.

San Gorgonio’s girls need your help. Please consider the donation of a basket for this year’s silent auction. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, May 10. Items can be dropped by any of our regional service centers or at the main Redlands office.   You also have the option of sending us your donation submission form by May 10 and bringing the item to the site of the Annual Meeting on either Friday afternoon, May 12 or Saturday morning, May 13. Detailed instructions, contacts and addresses are provided at the end of this announcement.

What If I Want to Help but Cannot Donate a Silent Auction Item?

Your monetary gift for camperships would be wonderful. Just go to our website: www.gssgc.org, click the donate button and specify that your gift is for Camp. Or mail a check to our Redlands Office at the address below.

What Can I Donate for the Silent Auction?

Everything of value can find a bidder. Minimum value is about $25, but the sky’s the limit after that! The donation might be something that you own or purchase, or it might well be something you are able to obtain from a favorite merchant or as a result of a business donation that you request. Unless it’s of historical value, it should be new and unused.

Traditional baskets are always welcome. Many baskets have themes and contain several items related to the theme; e.g., wine, cooking, movies, toys or games, sports, pets, night out on the town, car care—you name it. If you choose to donate a gift basket, consider going wild decorating it to make it stand out and attract bids.

Experiences often attract lots of bidding action. Certificates or tickets for rounds of golf, dinners at restaurants, sporting events (e.g., Dodgers, Angels), travel and hotel stays, amusement parks, theatre or musical events, movies—any adventure you can think of is fair game.

Gift certificates, or items like sports or camping equipment, bicycles, and electronics (remember, it should be new).
