On September 15th, 2018, the author, entrepreneur, engineer, rocket scientist and Girl Scouts of USA CEO Silvia Acevedo made a stop along her “Path to the Stars: My Journey from Girl Scout to Rocket Scientist” book tour at the Garrison Theater in Scripps College. Girl Scouts from all around the region were in attendance. In the video above, Silvia Acevedo has an inspiring conversation with Madeline Brand of KCRW’s Press Play with topics ranging from Ms. Acevedo’s early childhood experiences to a successful career as a rocket scientist and how the Girl Scouts program helped fuel her success.
