Many people celebrate veterans day. Do you? Veterans day is a day when we celebrate, honor, and remember our troops. These troops were in all different ranks and wars. Many people died, to save our country. Veterans day is when we remember those people, the retired veterans, and currently fight veterans.

This year I celebrated Veterans Day at Gibbel Park, in Hemet, along with many other supporting families. I personally believe, that this is an important day in America. It is a great opportunity for us to thank the troops who fight for America. Gibbel Park has celebrated Veteran’s Day for four years now.

At Gibbel Park, they gave medals, plaques, and other different kinds of awards, to honor Veterans. There were many different flags all over the park. Each flag was for a veteran who died in war. It is sad to see so many people have died, but really heartwarming that so many people love our country, so much, that they would die for it.

There were many other things at Gibbel Park. There was a Swat truck, that was set up next to two police booths. At these booths, were many officers dressed in there uniform, waiting to answer questions about what they do and how you can join them.

There were some Army trucks, too. These trucks were huge. Along with the trucks, they had many different kinds of Army uniforms, grenades, gas masks, tank bullet shells, helmets, and many more. I thought these were really cool and interesting.

They had three planes fly over the park. One of planes peeled off from the other two. This was a symbol of peace. This was one of my favorite parts.There was also a big flag that was hung by a fire engine’s ladder. I thought this was really neat. The whole park was really patriotic. Many people were dressed in uniforms, or patriotic colors. Some people even dressed up their dogs. I really enjoyed seeing everyone so willing, to honor our Veterans.

I think Veterans Day  is a very good day to remember who has fought for us, and is a good way to symbolize America’s love for this country. Thank you to all of the troops who have served in our country. We really appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to this country.

I have a brave veteran in my family. She is my Aunt. She fought in the army in 1976. I am very glad that someone in my family loves our country so much. The first Veteran’s Day ever to be celebrated, was November 11, 1938. I am so glad that this holiday was created. It is A Very opportune time, to remember all of those who have fought for us. I think Veterans Day  is a very good day to remember who has fought for us, and is a good way to symbolize America’s love for this country. Thank you to all of the troops who have served in our country. We really appreciate all of your hard work and dedication to this country.
