Passion rebuilds the world for the youth. It makes all things alive and significant. -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Camp is a great place for girls of all ages to get involved with their wild side and experience the joys of physical activity. Let’s face it, exercise isn’t something most of us are innately called to do. It’s a healthy habit that needs to be learned. Outdoors, girls can slow down to speed up!
Goodbye cell phone, the internet and social media drama. Hello girl time! Time to play, explore the outdoors, try new and adventurous things, go horse-back riding and practice archery. The possibilities are endless at camp and they all promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, spending a day or two outside each week has multiple life improving results.
“Regular physical activity can help keep your thinking, learning, and judgment skills sharp as you age… and may help you sleep better,” says the CDC.
Not only that, but regular moderate physical activity also helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Getting outside can help your girl stay heart healthy and heart happy for life.
So let’s make the outdoors a priority again!
Being physically active and trying new things in a safe environment has much to offer our youngest generation, so isn’t it time we start taking nature up on her offer?
Healthy adventures all start at camp!
