On Saturday, September 19 the High Desert Service Center on 17189 Yuma Street in Victorville, Ca.  hosted the  Jurassic Jungle Recruitment Roundup, an exciting day of crafts, activities, games and information sessions to introduce girls and their families to Girl Scouting. The Girl Scout recruitment event covered the Apple Valley, Desert Breeze, Hesperia, Barstow and Snowline areas.

In addition to Council staff, many adults and older girls volunteered their valuable time to make this special event a successful one. Thanks to their hard work, the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council (GSSGC) was extremely proud to welcome 163 new Girl Scouts to the family that very day! And new registrations continue to be mailed or delivered to the High Desert office daily.

In addition to the new Girl Scouts, GSSGC embraced 20 new adult volunteers and 22 adult members. Our family continues to grow and we couldn’t be more excited.
