Professor Tony Coulson, Director of the Cyber Security Center at California State University, San Bernardino, sent us this great video detailing the importance of last month’s Cyber Security event at CSUSB on December 17.

About 200 girls had a chance to explore cyber security and other exciting engineering-based fields with hands-on activities like deciphering codes, flying drones and designing gliders! The event was meant to encourage more girls to invest in STEM education and eventually fill the deficit of women found in these fields today.

Sponsored by CSUSB’s Cyber Security Center, the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council and the National Integrated Cyber Education Research Center (NICERC) in Bossier City, La.

Speakers included representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Administration.
