Pacific Electric Weekend, Rods & Rails and Father’s Day BBQ (Perris)
Saturday June 14 will also be the 15th Annual Rods & Rails Extravaganza and Historic Potato Festival at Orange Empire Railway Museum. The dual events take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Rods & Rails will feature more than 150 classic cars from the 1920s to 1970s. Sponsored by the City of Perris, the event features entertainment, games, live music and contests for the whole family including historical Western reenactment. Admission to Rods & Rails and the railway museum grounds is free.
Bring Dad on Sunday, June 15 to the annual Father’s Day BBQ. A delicious lunch will be served from noon until 2 p.m. On the menu for the day will be barbecued chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread, and cherry cobbler. Price for the barbecue lunch will be $12 for adults and $8 for children. Reservations are required. Please call the museum office 951-943-3020 to make your reservation.
Camp Azalea Trails, Open House & Picnic
Treat dad to the outdoors this weekend! On Saturday, it’s National Get Outdoors Day and Camp Azalea Trail’s Open House. Take Dad outdoors the day before and how him how much you love spending time together. Feel free to pack a special dad picnic to enjoy at camp. Then maybe plan a special breakfast in bed on Sunday? Lots of bacon, of course. Two days of dad fun and surprises!
