Congratulations to Kayley Headley, of John F. Kennedy Middle College High School, on earning her Girl Scout Gold Award on April 27, 2014!

Kayley, a Norco Girl Scout, chose to assist senior citizens for her project. She wanted to help her elders, who, because of various health complications, found it difficult to stay in touch with family and friends.

With the assistance of volunteers from John F. Kennedy Middle College High School ASB Club, she was able to provide an accordion file with cards sorted from January through December to suit all occasions.

The volunteers helped those seniors who were unable to write themselves with completing the cards. Kayley solicited donations and was also able to provide postage stamps, so there were no roadblocks for the seniors. The High School ASB club has agreed to adopt this effort as an annual service project and continue to provide cards and work with the seniors.
